About Nearshore Fishing:

Location

Nearshore fishing takes place up to 9 miles off the coast. We would be fishing rock piles and ledges that surround the west coast shores where bait accumulates and predator fish lurk.

Species

Some of the most common species found nearshore are Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Hog Snapper, Triple Tail (seasonal), and Kingfish (seasonal).

Technique

Common techniques for nearshore fishing include bottom fishing, slow trolling, trolling, or running looking for Triple Tail. Depending on the species we are targeting that day, anglers often use live bait (like shrimp, pinfish, and green backs) to drop on rock structures when bottom fishing. When trolling all the angler is doing is waiting for the reel to start screaming as we locate pelagic species. As for Triple Tail we would be covering as much water as possible to cast a shrimp in front of one of Floridas best tasting fish.

Suggestions on what to bring

When preparing for your charter fishing trip, it’s important to dress appropriately for the weather. On warmer days, we recommend a light long-sleeve shirt, polarized sunglasses to reduce glare, and a hat to keep the sun off your face. For cooler days, layering is key—bring several layers that you can easily add or remove as needed. While alcohol is allowed on board, please remember that this is a fishing trip, not a drinking one. Lastly, don’t forget to bring a small cooler to take home your catch at the end of the day. We want you to have a comfortable, enjoyable experience on the water!

4

Prepare for an unforgettable fishing experience

Get ready for a worry-free day on the water, where all you need to focus on is having fun and reeling in your catch. We’ll take care of everything else, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience from start to finish. As a special touch, we’ll be providing you complementary film and pictures of your catches throughout your adventure. By the end of the trip, you’ll have high-quality footage to relive the excitement and share your adventure with friends and family. It’s all about enjoying the day, creating memories, and leaving with something special to remember it by!
